The Five Pilchards Inn
The Five Pilchards Inn
Coastal Walks

Porthallow is situated at the halfway point of the South West Coastal Foot Path therefore meaning The Five Pilchards Inn is a great place to stop for a rest and bite to eat whilst enjoying the picturesque village. We offer a great range of light lunches ideal for walkers for example Cornish Cheese Ploughmans, Soup, Locally made Pasties, Sandwiches and of the course the well known Porthallow Chowder.

Porthallow is a tiny fishing village on the eastern side of the Lizard Peninsula. It is a good starting point for a superb walk, one of which includes passing through woodland and farmland to Gillan Harbour. This village is quite close to the Helford River Estuary and is where the walk changes from rural to a coastal excursion. The final stretch is a walk along the South West Coastal Path as you head back to the pretty village of Porthallow.
Further details of the coastal walks, including directions can be found at the following link
